- 这是一架可以开合的多翼祭坛画，两翼展开时，内层十二幅连成一片。上排正中是一位戴三重冠、身披红袍的神，右手举起赐福，脚前放着一顶金冠；他的左边是低头读书的圣母，一身宝蓝；右边是穿绿袍、手持书卷的施洗约翰。再往外，两组天使在奏乐、歌唱。下排中央是全画的核心：一片翠绿的草地上，来自四方的人群层层汇聚，跪向中央的祭台，台上立着一只白色的小羔羊，血从它胸口落进台前的杯里；羔羊正上方，一只白鸽悬在同心圆的光环中。人群最前方一道八角水池喷出细细的水柱，那是生命之泉。远山、城市、草叶间的小花都画得一丝不苟。这组画由根特的商人威德夫妇委托，为圣巴夫主教座堂而作，一四三二年五月六日落成。铭文说工程由兄长许贝特发…
